Chennai: Man, 39-year-old, hacked to death in Perambur

CHENNAI: A 39-year-old man was allegedly hacked to death in Perambur on Wednesday evening. The deceased was identified as 'Bazaar' Karthik, a resident of Sharma Nagar in Vyasarpadi.
Police said Karthik has pending cases against him in different police stations. On Wednesday Karthik, his friend Madhan and four others had allegedly gone to a graveyard in T V Puram near Perambur.
"Around 7.30pm, passersby alerted the police control room about the body of a man lying in a pool of blood inside the graveyard," said a police officer.
Based on information, the Perambur police registered a case and identified the deceased as Karthik. Police said they suspect his friends to have murdered him while boozing. Further investigations are on.
