GORAKHPUR: Inaugurating Gorakhpur's first health ATM at Chargawan PHC, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the government was committed to providing a solid health infrastructure in the state. The 'health ATMs' will bring about a 'revolutionary transformation' in the state's medical sector, he added.
During his address, the CM said, "Health issues are related to public welfare and the state government is committed to provide speedy, accessible and hi-tech medical facilities and related medical tests. To make the public health better, the government will provide health ATM facilities at 4,600 primary and community health service centres of the state."
He added, "Health ATMs will play a vital role in rural areas and with the help of health ATMs even a person in rural areas could get more than 50 medical tests facilities in just five minutes and that too free. Health ATM is the need of the hour and it is the intention of the government to provide health ATMs to all the health centres in Gorakhpur within two-three months."
The CM said that the complaint of availability of specialist doctors at CHC/PHC in rural areas are received quite often and health ATMs linked with tele-consultancy will hopefully resolve such issues. He also said health ATMs will be crucial in bolstering healthcare facilities, particularly in rural areas.
Before launching the Health ATM, the CM distributed tricycles among the specially-abled people .
MP Ravi Kishan Shukla was also present.
