Karnataka: Man kills his brother, held

MANGALURU: A man allegedly murdered his elder brother over personal enmity at Kodange-Banari in Vittal police station limits on Tuesday. According to police, the deceased is Ganesh Bangera,54, and the accused is Padmanabh Bangera,49. Police have taken the accused into custody.
It is learnt that Padmanabh had allegedly assaulted his brother in the past, and Ganesh, who had suffered injuries, had undergone treatment at the Government Hospital in Puttur. He had even issued a threat to murder him.
On Tuesday night, Padmanabh allegedly assaulted Ganesh with a weapon, on his head, chest and face, and hacked him to death. After the murder, he cleaned the body and clothes, and laid it on a bed in the room. Police have registered a case under IPC sections 302 (punishment for murder) and 201(causing disappearance of evidence of offence).
