Stock market update: Power stocks mixed as market falls

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading mixed on Thursday at 10:55AM

Karma Energy(up 9.87%), PIGL(up 4.87%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures(up 4.19%), Voltamp Transformers(up 3.86%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 3.50%), KEC International(up 3.34%), KPI Green Energy(up 2.54%), Inox wind(up 2.28%), Torrent Power(up 1.77%) and Adani Transmissions(up 1.71%) were among the top gainers.

Reliance Power(down 4.99%), RTNPOWER(down 4.72%), Transmission(down 2.67%), Indowind Energy(down 2.02%), Hitachi Energy India(down 1.88%), JSW Energy(down 1.32%), Inox Wind Energy(down 0.97%), Jyoti Structures(down 0.84%), Limited(down 0.83%) and NLC India(down 0.72%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 110.35 points down at 17893.4, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 335.53 points at 60011.44 at around 10:55AM.

Maruti Suzuki(up 3.41%), Eicher Motors(up 2.28%), ICICI Bank(up 0.88%), NTPC(up 0.67%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.55%), Larsen & Toubro(up 0.52%), Coal India(up 0.47%), Grasim Industries(up 0.33%), Bharti Airtel(up 0.2%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.17%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries(down 2.83%), Infosys(down 2.58%), Cipla(down 2.54%), IndusInd Bank(down 2.24%), Tech Mahindra(down 2.12%), Divis Laboratories(down 1.72%), Bajaj Finserv(down 1.52%), SBI Life(down 1.44%), Tata Steel(down 1.42%) and Kotak Mahindra Bank(down 1.42%) were trading in the red.
