The registration for admissions in undergraduate paramedical courses including nursing,
physiotherapy, bachelor of optometry, naturopathy and audiology is over and as per admission committee figures, 42,996 students have registered themselves. The first round of registrations were over on September 6. On September 9, the admission committee had reopened the registrations as many students who had given NEET-UG had not applied.
In the first round of registrations 39,248 students had registered and had completed their document verification for around 30,000 seats available in the state. Admission committee release on Wednesday said that 3,748 students have registered after the window was reopened.
The admission committee statement said that 43,052 students have verified their documents by visiting help centers.
According to sources, the number of seats for nursing and physiotherapy courses is likely to increase as the government has not yet completed the process of sanctioning new nursing colleges in the state.
