The wreckage of the
Mercedes Benz in which former
Tata Sons chairman Cyrus Mistry and his friend Jehangir Pandole were travelling when they died in an accident on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai national highway in Palghar on September 4, was inspected by a three-member team of the
Hong Kong office of the carmaker on Tuesday. The accident happened on the Surya river bridge at a place called Charoti and the car was moved to the Thane workshop of the luxury car manufacturer last week.
Police officers part of the investigation joined the Mercedes Benz team during the examination of the vehicle. A team from the Mercedes Benz office in Pune had visited the spot a day after accident and collected data recorder from the car. The Hong Kong team will submit a report to the car company before sharing it with the police. TNN
