GURUGRAM: A 24-year-old differently abled man whose request for a chocolate was turned down by his counsellor got angry and decided to vent his frustration on Tuesday morning. The result was an entire hotel being evacuated and police going into a tizzy.
The youth made a call to The Leela in the Ambience Mall complex about a bomb being planted there.

The call, at 11.05am, led to a one-and-a-half-hour search of the five-star hotel's premises by the bomb disposal squad and sniffer dogs as guests and staffers stood outside. "Once we were informed about the call, we reached the hotel with the bomb disposal team and the dog squad within minutes," said a police officer.
Fire tenders and ambulances were rushed to the spot. But when no threats were detected during the search, police concluded the call was a hoax and guests were allowed in.
Bomb hoax: Chaos as many try to move out of Leela hotel in Gurugram
After a hoax call warning about a bomb at The Leela hotel in Gurugram, police located the caller by tracing the number from which the call was made. The caller had made two more calls to the hotel but had immediately disconnected them, police said.
When the cops called on the number, it was switched off. The phone's location was subsequently traced to a hospital in the city.
"The call was traced to a 24-year-old autistic man. His counsellor had promised to buy him a chocolate but he got angry when he was denied it. So, he made the hoax call to the hotel from his mobile phone," said ACP (DLF) Vikas Kaushik.
"With the help of doctors, we were able to confirm that he is a person with special needs," he added.
A guard stationed outside the hotel said, "There was a security alarm. People were panicking and rushing here and there. For the first time in my 15 years of service, I witnessed something like this."
An FIR has been registered at DLF Phase 3 police station under Section 507 (criminal intimidation by anonymous communication) of IPC. "Since he's an autistic man, we will see what action will be taken," said a police officer.
