34 new Covid cases in Gurugram, positivity rate 1.2%

GURUGRAM: Thirty four cases of Covid were reported in the city on Tuesday. The positivity rate fell to 1.2% while it was recorded at 1.4% on Monday.
The city currently has 195 active cases, out of which seven patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals. A total of 2,778 samples were collected for RT-PCR and antigen tests on Tuesday by the health department while 3,275 tests were conducted on Monday. As many as 1,607 people got vaccinated in the city.
This month so far, Gurugram has recorded 847 Covid infections. August saw 10,414 patients while 5,695 were infected in July.
Meanwhile, Haryana reported 85 new Covid cases on Tuesday. At present, it has 516 active cases, out of whom 475 patients are in home isolation. The state's positivity rate is 0.7%.
On Tuesday, 113 patients recovered from the infection. In the past 24 hours, the health authorities collected 10,812 samples for antigen and RT-PCR tests.
