Civic workers threaten to boycott duty during Dasara

Mysuru: The members of Federation of Mysuru City Corporation Pourakaramika on Tuesday warned of boycotting duty during the Dasara celebrations if their demands are not met.
Speaking to reporters, federation general secretary Ramanjaneya informed that on Wednesday, a symbolic protest will be organised to remind the MCC about the demands of the pourakarmikas.
Permanent houses for the pourakarmikas in Malalavadi, employment for the family members of contract-direct payment pourakamikas who retired or deceased, re-induction of 48 pourakarmikas whose services were terminated, Rs 5 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased pourakarmikas, women’s rest room in all 65 wards for the women pourakarmikas are our major demands, he said.
