While DU has launched its admission (CSAS) portal, there are other central universities that are waiting for CUET results before announcing their admission process. Banaras Hindu University is among them. 'We will need at least another day or two to finalise our admission process. We are waiting to first receive the result data from NTA. My suggestion to candidates is to keep checking our official website — bhuonline.in — for all latest updates on admission to our undergraduate programme,' a senior official of BHU told The Indian Express. BHU has received the second largest number of applications, after DU, under CUET.
NTA is expected to announce CUET UG Results in an hour. Candidates waiting for results should keep their admit cards ready to check scorecards online at cuet.samarth.ac.in
A total of 9.9 lakh unique candidates had registered for the exam. Since some of the candidates sat for more than one paper, NTA conducted the exam for roughly 15 lakh candidates in all. A total of 90 universities participated in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) in its first year. Check their NIRF Rankings.
Since there is no common counselling or common admission process to fill seats, the action will now move to the participating universities. “As soon as we release the results, the same data will also be simultaneously available to the 90 universities that adopted CUET for admission to their undergraduate programmes. From this point, the NTA has no role,” said a senior official of NTA.
There are a total 90 universities that are participating in CUET UG including 44 Central Universities. All the universities have received a total 58.5 lakh applications for the various programmes. For information on the number of seats, you will have to refer to the universities individually.
To check CUET UG result, candidates would need to key in their application number and date of birth after clicking on the 'candidate login' option.
The National Testing Agency will not release a merit list of students who appeared for CUET UG. NTA will only release scorecards. Universities will be releasing merit lists based on the result and applications they have received
The score cards will soon be released at the official CUET website — cuet.samarth.ac.in
Thankfully, there is no fail or passing mark. NTA will release the CUET scorecard along with the candidate’s percentile. The candidates will get admission into colleges/universities based on the merit lists of colleges/universities.
To be fair and just to all candidates considering the thousand number of subject combination under CUET, NTA will use a method called the ‘equipercentile method’ to calculate CUET Scores of individual student. In this method, normalised marks of each candidate are calculated using the percentiles of each group of students in a given session across multiple days for the same subject. UGC Chairman M Jagadesh explains.
Each participating university will have its own merit list based on the applications they have received. The merit lists will be released at the announcement of results by NTA. Students, who had earlier indicated their preference of universities at the time of registering for CUET UG, will then have to check the respective university merit lists to check if they are eligible for admission
