'Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva', the fantasy action-adventure film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, seems to be going strong at the box-office as the film successfully managed to mint around Rs 155 crore in six days.

The film collected around Rs 13-14 crore across languages on Tuesday, as per the numbers shared by trade analyst Sumit Kadel.

The Karan Johar-backed film, which is releasing under the Dharma Productions' banner, had opened to a great start on Friday as it garnered Rs 37 crore approximately, making it the biggest opener of this year.

On its opening weekend at the box-office, the film collected Rs 125 crore in India. 'Brahmastra's box-office performance is notable as most Hindi films released this year did not work and were a dud.

After 'The Kashmir Files', 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2' and 'Gangubai Kathiawadi', 'Brahmastra' is the fourth film to have worked its charm this year at the box-office.

According to the popular Hollywood website Deadline, the Ayan Mukherji-directorial opened at the second spot in the US with an estimated $4.4 million in collections. The website went on to state that the film’s opening is the fourth highest across the US for a Bollywood movie.

Announced in 2014, the film's budget spilled across, and touched close to over Rs 400 crore. Director Mukerji, finally a much relieved man, took to Instagram to share his thoughts at the early success of his magnum opus and thanked his audience.

The Hindi version of the film - that also stars Amitabh Bachchan and southern actor Nagarjuna in pivotal roles- has broken previous records by being the 'biggest non-holiday opener of all time' in India and abroad, as per trade analysts.

The film that was in the making for eight years has been dubbed in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
