Heritage Foods(up 1.90%), Prataap Snacks(up 0.66%), Hindustan Foods(up 0.55%), Dangee Dums(up 0.38%), Nestle India(up 0.32%), Gillette India(up 0.28%) and Marico(up 0.21%) were among the top gainers.
Future Consumer(down 4.08%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.16%), Nakoda Group(down 1.69%), Dodla Dairy(down 1.50%), Tasty Bite Eatables(down 1.41%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(down 1.34%), Mrs Bectors Food Specialities(down 1.16%), Umang Dairies(down 1.15%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.13%) and Vadilal Industries(down 1.12%) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 158.9 points down at 17911.15, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was down 558.68 points at 60012.4 at around 10:29AM.
NTPC(up 1.52%), State Bank of India(up 1.06%), Power Grid Corporation of India(up 1.04%), IndusInd Bank(up 1.02%), Coal India(up 0.78%), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 0.54%), Maruti Suzuki(up 0.48%), UltraTech Cement(up 0.46%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 0.44%) and Bajaj Auto(up 0.4%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Infosys(down 4.33%), Tech Mahindra(down 3.46%), Tata Consultancy(down 3.16%), HCL Technologies(down 2.14%), Wipro(down 1.99%), Hindalco Industries(down 1.84%), Larsen & Toubro(down 1.67%), SBI Life(down 1.45%), Tata Motors(down 1.41%) and Tata Steel(down 1.39%) were trading in the red.
