Stock market update: Nifty Pharma index falls 0.09% in a weak market

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Pharma index traded negative around 11:25AM(IST)on Wednesday in a weak market.

Natco Pharma(up 2.14 per cent), Biocon(up 1.15 per cent), Abbott India(up 1.06 per cent), Cipla(up 0.23 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Gland Pharma(down 2.15 per cent), Ipca Laboratories(down 1.21 per cent), Strides Pharma Science(down 1.15 per cent), Lupin(down 0.65 per cent) and Pfizer(down 0.56 per cent) were the top losers on the index.

The Nifty Pharma index was down 0.09 per cent at 12734.0 at the time of writing this report.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 108.2 points at 17961.85, while the BSE Sensex was down 386.94 points at 60184.14.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 22 were trading in the green, while 28 were in the red.

Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, , and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.

Shares of TRF Ltd, , , and Bharat Gears hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while , , , and Debock Sales & Mktg hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
