Jaipur: Irked at cars blocking your gate? You may soon send a picture to the traffic police and a challan will be sent to the violator.
Citizens will soon be able to report a traffic violation by simply posting a picture in a mobile application provided by the police.
Additional DG (Traffic) V K Singh said that the police are working on the development of the new application that will allow people to report different violations.
“The new initiative will work as a force multiplier. It will also address the grievances of people,” Singh said.
As per the traffic police in case a person comes across a violation related to illegal parking, they could click a picture and post it on the mobile application. The police will send a challan and address the issue too.
Singh said that the work on the application has already begun.
There have long been issues wherein people illegal park their cars outside the main gates of residential houses. With nowhere else to go, people often resort to calling up local police stations to report the incident.
Singh said that the new application will help the police maximize the channels where traffic violations can be reported. “The new application, once it goes live, will cater to a lot of common people to help report the everyday traffic violations that they come across,” he added.
