Silchar seeks justice for woman killed after rape

Silchar: Hundreds of people, including women, took out a candlelight march in Patharkandi in Karimganj district on Monday seeking justice for a 30-year-old woman, who was allegedly raped and killed.
Her semi-nude body was found in a paddy field near her house in Kachubari in Patharkandi block on Sunday. Her body bore multiple injury marks. Police arrested a youth, Libu Sinha, from nearby Jamiyala village. On Monday, he was produced before a court and sent to judicial custody. tnn
