JAIPUR: The state government is set to replace all the 900 websites owned by it with a uniform bilingual web portal system providing additional information, an integrated approach, and user-friendly experience for citizens.
The government will transport all websites including departments, districts, sectoral, public welfare schemes, boards, commissions and Jankalyan to its developed software 'web my way' officially launched by CM
Ashok Gehlot on August 20.
"A uniform template of all websites according to the category will give users a uniform experience with easy access to information," said Rajesh Saini, general manager (Technical), DoIT.
So far, the websites do not follow any uniform pattern giving users variable experiences. "These web portals are being managed by the respective departments and agencies now it will be handled centrally," added Saini.
Under the new system, over 40 websites or applications have been transported to the new system, including all district websites while the remaining web portals will be transported when the process will be completed. The department has taken steps to prevent data theft from the portals.
