Stock market update: Power stocks up as market rises

NEW DELHI: Power stocks were trading higher on Tuesday at 10:14AM

Energy Development Company(up 10.00%), RTNPOWER(up 3.70%), GE Power India Limited(up 2.95%), Inox wind(up 2.62%), Voltamp Transformers(up 2.56%), Transformers and Rectifiers(India)(up 2.36%), Inox Wind Energy(up 2.10%), Gujarat Industries Power(up 1.05%), DPSC(up 1.01%) and Power Grid Corporation of India(up 0.94%) were among the top gainers.

Indowind Energy(down 4.95%), PIGL(down 4.84%), Karma Energy(down 2.87%), Suzlon Energy(down 2.54%), KEC International(down 1.31%), Orient Green Power Company(down 1.05%), JSW Energy(down 0.87%), NLC India(down 0.77%), KPI Green Energy(down 0.71%) and Jaiprakash Power Ventures(down 0.58%) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 116.0 points up at 18052.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 400.53 points at 60515.66 at around 10:14AM.

Bajaj Finserv(up 4.93%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 2.5%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.92%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.81%), SBI Life(up 1.78%), Britannia Industries(up 1.47%), Hindalco Industries(up 1.43%), Grasim Industries(up 1.34%), HDFC(up 1.26%) and TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 1.15%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.

On the other hand, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.35%), Cipla(down 0.25%), Enterprises(down 0.11%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.11%), Bajaj Auto(down 0.07%) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.01%) were trading in the red.
