CS: Petro zone at Pachpadra to attract Rs 25,000 crore investment

JAIPUR: Chairing the empowered committee of the Rajasthan Petro Zone, chief secretary Usha Sharma said the user will attract investments of Rs 25,000 crore.
The government is planning to develop the zone over 50 sqkm and have outlined Rs 1000 crore, which would be required to develop it.
Sharma said the zone would be used for producing petroleum byproducts.
The meeting was also trended by ACS (industries) Veenu Gupta and RIICO MD Shivprasad Nakhate. Gupta said the work has already started and work orders worth Rs 100 crore has been sanctioned.
The work on pipeline to bring water from Nachna to Pachpadra has already started. The refinery at Pachpadra is currently under development and by the time it is completed, it is expected that the investments will go up to over Rs 70,000 crore.
Sharma directed RIICO MD to apply for environment clearance for the petro zone and undertake other works on priority.
