Tributes paid to Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati

Prayagraj: A group of Muslims on Monday expressed grief over death of Dwarka Shardapeeth and Jyotirmath Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati who breathed his last MP’s Narsinghpur on Sunday.
The group of Muslims also paid floral tributes to the portrait of Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati at Bahadurganj area. Congress leader Irshad Ullah said “ Shankaracharya Swaroopanand was also a freedom fighter and he had also gone to jail for the freedom of the country” . He added “People of the country would always remember him for his good deeds”. Meanwhile, members of the city congress committee also expressed grief over the demise of Dwarka peeth Shankarachrya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati.
Senior congress leader and UPCC member Kishore Varshney said, “ His death is a irreparable loss to the country and saint community”. Varshney said that Swami had dedicated his whole life to the propagation of sanatan culture, religion, and spirituality. tnn
