AgenciesNEW DELHI: The Nifty IT index traded positive around 10:24AM(IST)on Tuesday in an upbeat market.
Infosys(up 0.7 per cent), Wipro(up 0.59 per cent), L&T Technology(up 0.55 per cent), MPhasis(up 0.24 per cent) and Coforge(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.
Larsen & Toubro Infotech(down 0.6 per cent), Mindtree(down 0.57 per cent) and Tech Mahindra(down 0.03 per cent) were the top losers on the index.
The Nifty IT index was up 0.23 per cent at 29198.95 at the time of writing this report.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 122.35 points at 18058.7, while the BSE Sensex was up 392.27 points at 60507.4.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 45 were trading in the green, while 5 were in the red.
Shares of Zomato Ltd., YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, PNB and JP Power were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
Shares of DB Corp., Fineotex Chem, Tata Investment, Oswal Agro Mill and Lumax Auto Tech hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while JFL Life Sciences Ltd., Ameya Precision Engineers Ltd., S & S Power Switch, Debock Sales & Mktg and Dhampur Bio Organics Ltd. hit fresh 52-week lows in trade.
