900 sedative injections seized, four arrested in Karnal

KARNAL: A team of state narcotic control bureau Madhuban Karnal claimed to have arrested four more persons involved in the racket of intoxicant injections (drug).
Police claimed to recover 900 vials of Pentazocine Lactate injections from an arrested accused.
The accused have been identified as Raju Shukla, Abdul Rahim and Ranjeet alias Monty of Delhi, and Ravi of Gharaunda in Karnal. While three persons including the king-pin of the gang of this racket are at large.
DSP Verinder Saini said that earlier, the team had arrested Kaushal, a national level wrestler, a resident of Kaith village in Panipat with 145 vials. During the remand, he revealed the name of Raju Shukla, who owned a medical shop in Karol Bagh in Delhi.
He said that on Shukla’s information, the police arrested Abdul and recovered 900 injections from him. Later the police arrested Ranjeet and Ravi involved in the supply chain.
The DSP said that a case has been registered against them in Israna police station and raids are on to nab the absconding accused.
