Gujarat: 25 held for partying with liquor in Anand

VADODARA: Anand district police arrested 25 persons, including 10 young women, after raiding a liquor party at a farmhouse in Navakhal village of Anklav taluka in the early hours of Monday. All the accused are residents of Vadodara.
The accused had booked the farmhouse to celebrate the birthday of a young woman. The farmhouse was taken on a rent of Rs 10,000 for Sunday night from a person in Vadodara.
The police got information regarding the liquor party and verified the tip-off. A raiding party then swooped down on the farmhouse and arrested 25 persons who were found partying there. The man who had given the farmhouse on rent was named as an accused.
Sources in Anklav police station said that the women who were held from the farmhouse were granted bail on Monday.
