PATNA: A day after she sent a defamation notice of Rs5 crore to the party MLA and ex-minister Bima Bharti, the JD(U) top leadership summoned state’s food and consumer protection minister Leshi Singh on Monday.
After meeting JD(U) national president Rajiv Ranjan alias Lalan Singh at the party office here, Leshi said now she had no dispute with Bima. The minister also hinted that she might withdraw her defamation notice.
Bima, who was minister in the previous governments of Nitish, vented anger before the media over Leshi’s re-induction into the new cabinet.
“I will seek legal remedies over the defamation notice, but I maintain that Leshi’s name surfaced in a few a criminal cases in Purnia region,” Bima told reporters on Monday.
