PATNA: The Technological Innovation Hub (TIH) of IIT-Patna showcased its two brilliant start-ups at the recently-concluded ‘Centre-State Science Conclave’ held at Science City of Ahmedabad under the aegis of the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
The start-ups, namely, Redinent Innovations and Portable Power Technology, got huge appreciation from the organizers for the efforts of IIT-Patna in incubating new employment-generating startups.
Altogether 120 start-ups were selected from all over the country for this conclave inaugurated by Prime Minister
Narendra Modi on Saturday.
Union minister of state for science and technology, Jitendra Singh, along with ministers and hundreds of delegates from different states visited the IIT-Patna’s start-up stall and applauded the initiatives. Other prominent visitors like Atomic Energy Commission’s chairman K N Vyas, and DST secretary S Chandrashekhar also visited the stall and also appreciated the innovation and full product development of the start-ups.
Visitors from leading automobile company Ashok Leyland showed keen interest in the portable power start-up project. Representatives from the information technology department of the Government of Gujarat showed keen interest in the IoT-based cyber security software platform of Redinent Innovation. The start-up group’s director Divyanshu Verma explained the technique of this platform in detail to the delegates.
Another start-up modelled by Abhijeet and mentored by Prof A K Thakur of IIT- Patna, a smart and safe solution for batteries through BMS, was also highly appreciated by the delegates.
TIH-IIT Patna CEO Sai Kiran and project director Jawar Singh emphasized on further strengthening their efforts to attract more technological start-ups in future. IIT-Patna director T N Singh congratulated the entire TIH- IIT Patna team for their commendable performance.
