Future Consumer(up 4.26%), Bajaj Consumer(up 3.03%), Nakoda Group(up 3.00%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.85%), Britannia Industries(up 2.34%), Emami(up 2.33%), JHS Svendgaard Laboratories(up 1.96%), Tasty Bite Eatables(up 1.95%), Vadilal Industries(up 0.89%) and ADF Foods(up 0.87%) stood among the top gainers.
Umang Dairies(down 3.27%), Euro India Fresh Foods(down 2.96%), Dangee Dums(down 2.61%), Heritage Foods(down 1.99%), Jyothy Labs(down 1.02%), Parag Milk(down 0.99%), Zydus Wellness(down 0.81%), Godrej Consumer Products(down 0.56%), Prataap Snacks(down 0.26%) and Dodla Dairy(down 0.20%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 133.7 points up at 18070.05, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 455.95 points at 60571.08.
Bajaj Finserv(up 4.14%), TATA CONSUMER PRODUCTS(up 2.85%), IndusInd Bank(up 2.37%), Britannia Industries(up 2.34%), Bharti Airtel(up 1.96%), Titan Company Ltd(up 1.67%), Bajaj Finance(up 1.6%), Larsen & Toubro(up 1.5%), HDFC LIFE INSURANCE(up 1.47%) and SBI Life(up 1.41%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Shree Cement(down 0.84%), Cipla(down 0.55%), Eicher Motors(down 0.48%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation(down 0.45%), Tata Consultancy(down 0.42%), Asian Paints(down 0.29%), Divis Laboratories(down 0.28%), Tech Mahindra(down 0.23%), Dr Reddys Laboratories(down 0.19%) and Bajaj Auto(down 0.1%) closed in the red.
