Backward class panel member meets V-P

Ranchi: The member of state backward class commission, Rajendra Prasad, met Jagdeep Dhankhar on Monday and congratulated him on his victory in the vice-presidential elections.
During the meet, he apprised the V-P about commission’s recommendation to the state government about giving at least 36% reservation to the backward class candidates in government jobs.
Prasad said that the population of backward class is around 55% in the state and the state government can extend them the benefit of reservation up to 50% on the lines adopted by the Tamil Nadu government.
