Mumbai police has registered a FIR against unidentified persons believed to have helped the minor girls. According to the local reports, the six girls fled the centre between 3 and 4 am on Sunday after someone broke the cement window and iron grill of the hostel with a stone.

In a shocking incident, six minor girls escaped from the Government Girls Hostel located in the Govandi area of Mumbai by breaking the window and grill of the toilet in the wee hours of Sunday.

Mumbai police has registered a FIR against unidentified persons believed to have helped the minor girls. According to the local reports, the six girls fled the centre between 3 and 4 am on Sunday after someone broke the cement window and iron grill of the hostel with a stone.

Shockingly, the girls also locked the guard's gate from the outside so that he could not follow them. The girls had been placed for care and protection at the Government Girls’ Special Rehabilitation Center (Special Children’s Home) on order of the court. Police has identified the girls.

The police are also scanning different CCTV footages for any clues about the missing girls.

The minor girls who are rescued in cases like human trafficking, begging are kept in this Govandi hostel.
