Sakthi Sugars(up 2.55%), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries(up 2.20%), Mawana Sugars(up 1.72%), EID Parry(up 1.36%), Balrampur Chini Mills(up 1.09%), K.M.Sugar Mills(up 1.04%), Bannari Amman Sugars(up 1.01%), & Industries(up 0.98%), KCP Sugar & Industries(up 0.90%) and Shree Renuka Sugars(up 0.51%) stood among the top gainers.
Simbhaoli Sugars(down 4.96%), DCM Shriram Industries(down 2.24%), Ugar Sugar Works(down 1.84%), BAJAJHIND(down 1.32%), & Chemicals(down 1.15%), MAGADHSUGAR(down 0.51%), AVADHSUGAR(down 0.46%), & Chemicals(down 0.40%), Uttam Sugar Mills(down 0.30%) and Dwarikesh Sugar Industries(down 0.29%) were among the top losers of the day.
The NSE Nifty50 index ended 103.0 points up at 17936.35, while the 30-share BSE Sensex closed up 321.99 points at 60115.13.
Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone(up 3.49%), Titan Company Ltd(up 2.22%), Divis Laboratories(up 2.08%), Tech Mahindra(up 2.08%), Axis Bank(up 2.06%), Tata Steel(up 1.94%), UPL Ltd(up 1.93%), Eicher Motors(up 1.89%), Infosys(up 1.62%) and Bajaj Finance(up 1.48%) stood among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Coal India(down 2.57%), Shree Cement(down 1.51%), HDFC(down 0.51%), Nestle India(down 0.44%), Bajaj Finserv(down 0.39%), HDFC Bank(down 0.34%), Hindustan Unilever(down 0.32%), Mahindra & Mahindra(down 0.32%), Asian Paints(down 0.28%) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries(down 0.26%) closed in the red.
