Karnataka BJP is in election mode: Joshi

Dharwad: Union Parliamentary Affairs Pralhad Joshi said Karnataka BJP has already begun preparations for the next assembly election early next year and expressed confidence that the party will return to power with a thumping majority.
Speaking to media persons here on Sunday, he said the performance of the BJP government under BS Yediyurappa and Basavaraj Bommai will ensure the party’s victory in the hustings.
Realising this, Congress leaders are perturbed and are desperately making baseless allegations against the BJP government, he charged.
When asked whether Yediyurappa’s elevation into the party’s Central Parliamentary Committee was out of respect for him or to placate him after divesting him of chief ministership, Joshi replied that Yediyurappa was a senior, respected, tall leader who has the capacity to steer the party on the path of success. tnn
