Two Atal Setu poles damaged in accident

Panaji: Porvorim police on Monday registered a case of rash and negligent driving against Verem resident Somdutt Naik after he lost control of his car while travelling on Atal Setu, and collided with one vehicle and damaged two streetlight poles on the bridge.
Police said that the driver did not suffer any major injuries in the accident.
Police said that the incident occurred at about 1.30pm, leading to a heavy traffic jam on the bridge.
Naik was on his way to Panaji from Porvorim when he lost control over his car and rammed into the divider before hitting a streetlight pole.
Police said due to the impact, the car flitted onto the opposite lane and collided with a truck, and later hit another pole. tnn
Police said that due to the impact, the car again landed on the previous lane.
