Telangana: Two die as tree falls on autorickshaw in Nirmal district

The incident caused a major traffic jam on the road as several vehicles were stranded for about two hours on the road before the police arrived.

ADILABAD: Two persons died on the spot and 10 escaped with minor injuries when a tree fell on an autorickshaw at Iqbalpur village in Nirmal district on Sunday. The deceased were identified as B Rajyam (40) and U Ravi (35), from Itykal village in Raykal mandal in Jagtial district. 

Around 12 people were going to see the Kuntala waterfall. When they reached the outskirts of Iqbalpur, the tree had fallen on the auto. The injured were shifted to the Khanapur government hospital for treatment.

The Khanapur police rushed to the spot and had the fallen tree removed. The incident caused a major traffic jam on the road as several vehicles were stranded for about two hours on the road before the police arrived.
