Saera Electric Auto Private Limited (SEAPL) today inaugurated a new manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, to manufacture electric two-wheelers frames and chassis.
The company states that it will be investing around Rs 25 crore in phases for setting up the new manufacturing unit. This investment will keep on increasing as the production capacity will increase in the near future, says Saera. At present, Saera’s Bhiwadi plant has a manufacturing capacity of 7,500 units and the production capacity is likely to grow to 50,000 units within a year.
“Our new electric vehicle manufacturing plant in Bhiwadi will further escalate our growth and will be a boost towards making safe, clean and green electric two-wheelers available to the masses; thereby, catering to the rising demand for e-mobility,” says Nitin Kapoor, Managing Director of Saera Electric.

The company has already deployed 50 skilled professionals to handle operations at its Bhiwadi plant and is all set to hire up to 300 as the production grows. Saera Electric is targeting to reach 5 lakh units per month from the new manufacturing facility.
Introduced in 2011, SEAPL has its primary operation of assembling and manufacturing electric L3 category vehicles (e-rickshaw and e-cart loader) and electric 2W low-speed vehicles.
Saera Electric was the first company to introduce e-rickshaw in India with its brand Mayuri, the first one to receive vehicle approval certificate ICAT from the International Center for Automobile Technology, Manesar. The company also manufactures popular low-speed e-scooters with the brand Yogo Bikes.
