Gurgaon: Miffed with the apathetic attitude of civic authorities to address the basic amenities, more than 100 residents from several housing societies in Sector 102 staged a protest march demanding recarpeting of a link road.
Residents said the dividing road of sectors 102 and 102A, which is the main link road to Dwarka Expressway, has been lying in shambles for the last three years causing hardships for commuters. Despite several complaints, no action has been taken by the authorities concerned. “For the last several years, we have been constantly dealing with the potholed road. Even drizzle makes the situation so bad that sometimes vehicles get stuck in the potholes,” said Jatin Sharma, a resident of Adani Oyster Grande.
Residents alleged the poor condition of the road has resulted in several accidents in the past. On Sunday, residents raised slogans and demanded basic facilities be provided to them.
Meanwhile, a GMDA official said the patchwork on the broken roads has already been done.
