LUCKNOW: Reiterating that there was no place for crime and criminals in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said that the fear of hooter should be enough to make criminals tremble.
Reviewing the law and order and development works in Baghpat, Yogi underscored the need for better night patrolling by the police.
"Criminals should not be spared under any circumstances. From day one, we have taken the pledge to eliminate criminals in UP and our government is doing it," he said.
The CM also pitched for better communication with public representatives and linking the maximum number of people with government schemes.
He reviewed the development works through power point presentation (PPT) and was informed about the various campaigns being run in the west UP district.
Appreciating Sajal Baghpat Abhiyan and Baghpat Khel Vikas Abhiyan, Yogi said that private schools should also get inclined towards sports. "Sports competitions should be encouraged at district level too," he said.
The CM emphasized that funds meant for children's uniform should be spent effectively and said that better communication between parents and teachers should be established.
Schools should have separate toilets for boys and girls. Alumni councils should also be formed,” he said. Yogi asserted that more jobs should be arranged for youths by organizing employment fairs. Later, the CM also interacted with influential people of the city. “Lights should not be lit in government buildings without any reason. Saving electricity is the responsibility of all of us. Everyone has to take care that it is not misused. At times streetlights remain switched on during the day.
This has to be curbed in the interest of the country and the state,” he said. Yogi also met players at Multisports Stadium in Mavi Kalan village of Baghpat where he interacted with Arjuna awardee, international and national players. Felicitating about 30 players, the CM also asked them about their problems and informed them about the schemes of the government related to sports. He also inspected the community health centre in Baghpat and inaugurated a ‘health ATM’ there. The health ATM will provide rapid diagnostic checkup for skin, nose, ear, eye, blood pressure, fever, ECG, HIV, cholesterol, thyroid, and blood sugar, among others.
