NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Monday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 367.98 points up at 60161.12 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Starlit Power Sys.(down 14.77 per cent), (down 12.22 per cent), Sybly Ind(down 12.08 per cent), Aananda Lakshmi Spin(down 9.70 per cent) and Fone4 Communications(India)Ltd.(down 9.43 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 44 stocks traded in the green, while 5 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 109.8 points up at 17943.15.
On the BSE, , Rhetan TMT Ltd., , Bombay Rayon and Dhampur Bio . hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , , Asian Hotels(E)and Kaira Can touched their fresh 52-week highs.
