Jumbo run: Elephant chases caretaker at Sakrebailu in Karnataka

The incident occurred when the mahout was routinely taking the elephant to the forest for grazing. The caretaker, who came on a bike, ran away and escaped unhurt.

SHIVAMOGGA:  An elephant belonging to the Sakrebailu Elephant Camp tried to attack its caretaker on Friday, but the incident came to light on Sunday when a video of the incident went viral on social media. 
The camp is situated near Gajanur, which is about 10 kms away from the city.

 Manikantha, the male elephant, tried to attack its caretaker Khaleel and the incident was captured on a CCTV camera. The incident occurred when the mahout was routinely taking the elephant to the forest for grazing. The caretaker, who came on a bike, ran away and escaped unhurt. 

 A woman who was sitting in a car nearby also escaped unhurt. Later, the elephant was tied with the help of other elephants. Sources said that Manikantha is known for his rude behaviour. It has also attacked other elephants too. Recently, it tried to attack its mahout while the elephant was being given a bath at the Tunga backwaters.
