APHERMC issues notice to Nova Edu Institutions

Stating that the college has not responded to any notice, Rajasekhar Reddy confirmed that the commission would levy a huge fine of up to 15 lakh or imprisonment of 7 years.

VIJAYAWADA: Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Regulatory and Monitoring Commission (APHERMC) has issued a show cause notice to Nova Educational Institutions at Ibrahimpatnam, directing the management to appear before the commission on September 16. Students, faculty and a former principal have filed nearly 15 complaints against the institution.

APHERMC CEO and Member Secretary Dr N Rajasekhar Reddy said, “It has been reported that Nova Educational Institutions is not maintaining full-fledged faculty, not issuing certificates to students on time and not paying salaries to faculty.” He confirmed that a principal, who had worked at the college, also complained to the commission as the management did not pay her salary.Stating that the college has not responded to any notice, Rajasekhar Reddy confirmed that the commission would levy a huge fine of up to 15 lakh or imprisonment of 7 years.
