The Varanasi District Court in the Gyanvapi Masjid and Shringar Gauri case, on Monday delivered the verdict that the case is maintanable. The case is listed at number 15.
The judge has said in his judgment that the Gyanvapi-Sringar Gauri case is worth hearing and its next hearing will be held on September 22. The Varanasi district court has rejected the application of the Muslim side on the Gyanvapi case. Overall, the verdict has come in favor of the Hindu side.
Advocate Vishnu Jain, appearing for the Hindu side, told the reporters that District Judge AK Vishvesh dismissed the petition questioning the maintainability of the case and decided to continue the hearing. It is noteworthy that in this case, five women had filed a petition seeking permission for daily worship of Hindu deities, whose deities are located on the outer wall of the Gyanvapi mosque.
At the same time, after the decision of the court, the announcement of Har Har Bam-Bam and Har Har MahadevĀ kept resonating for a long time in the court premises.
Angered by the verdict, Merajuddin Siddiqui, the lawyer of the Muslim party, has made a big allegation on the court saying that this decision is not fair. "We will approach the higher court against the verdict," he said whie talking to the reporters. "The judge has set aside the 1991 Act of Parliament. The doors of the upper court are open for us. The judiciary is yours, you will not follow the rules of Parliament. Everybody's sold out."
