GURUGRAM: The city reported 65 new Covid cases on Saturday, a rise of 27% from the previous day, which saw 51 cases. The test positivity rate has also jumped to 1.8% from 1.4% on Friday.
The number of active cases also increased to 229 from Friday’s 210 cases, nine are hospitalised, while the remaining patients are in home isolation. The health department officials said that 3,619 people have been tested in the last 24 hours.
The city also recorded 56 recoveries, raising the tally of recovered people to 2.98 lakh. Gurgaon meanwhile vaccinated 1,862 people on Saturday of whom 1,540 received their booster doses. This also included 99 first doses and 223 second doses. Moreover, 96 got vaccinated in the 12-14 age group, while 17 were vaccinated in the age group of 15-18.
Haryana, meanwhile, logged 116 new cases. The highest number of cases were reported in Gurgaon, followed by Charkhi Dadri (9), Faridabad (8) and Panchkula (8). According to the health bulletin, the test positivity rate in
Haryana is 1.09% and the number of active cases is 643.
