Ludhiana schools to start energy club

LUDHIANA: City schools joined hands to start an energy club highlighting important laws to help save environment, and teach students about climate change. The initiative would be undertaken by ‘Solar Man of India’ Chetan Singh Solanki,who would train the teachers under his ‘energy literacy’ programme.
Guru Nanak Public School, Model Town Extension, Ludhiana organized an interactive session with Chetan, who delivered an enlightening and impressive talk on the topic ‘Energy, Climate Change and I’. He imparted knowledge about energy laws and root causes of climate change. He promoted solar energy and energy literacy and asked students to limit consumption and localise production. The attraction of this communicative session was the tour the ‘Solar Bus’, in which he has pledged to reside for 11 years.
