PANAJI: Union minister for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) Narayan Rane on Saturday said that the Centre will set up a training centre at a cost of Rs 200 crore in Goa to create new businesses in the state.
Rane said that when he met CM Pramod Sawant, the latter sought his help to get industries to Goa. “We hope to create new businesses in the future through MSMEs and to create new entrepreneurs in Goa,” he said.
He said that officials from his ministry will visit the state to provide information about schemes, initiatives available to the public. “They will conduct meetings and explain what type of business can be taken up by women, ST population, etc,” he said.
