IMD issues ‘Orange alert’ for 10 districts of Odisha

Amid the increasing rain in Odisha, IMD issued an ‘Orange Alert’ for 10 districts of the state. Bhubaneswar Senior Scientist Umashankar Das on September 11 said, “Heavy rain activity will continue today as well. There are chances of widespread rainfall in Odisha. We have issued an orange warning in 10 districts. There are chances of rainfall from 70 to 200 mm. This can also cause landslides in hilly areas. Lay lying areas can also inundate.”
