Undertrial kills self inside Chaibasa jail

Jamshedpur: A 30-year-old under-trial killed himself by jumping off the terrace of the Chaibasa divisional jail on Friday. Jailer Luv Kumar said he was going through depression and would often create a ruckus in jail. “His behaviour was not stable,” Kumar added.
The deceased, identified as Murli Laguri, was imprisoned since January 3 in connection with a murder case. He was accused of killing five members of his family, following a quarrel over a disputed plot of land. Meanwhile, a three-member team of doctors at Chaibasa sadar hospital has conducted a post mortem upon the direction of DC Ananya Mittal. The autopsy report has not been disclosed yet. tnn
