Thane: Man booked for harassing former girlfriend

THANE: Naupada police in Thane booked a 24-year-old man for allegedly threatening his former girlfriend and defaming her on social media. The police said that the accused came into contact with the victim a couple of months ago and their friendship turned into a relationship. However, they parted ways as the accused who was already an married hid his marital status.
An officer further added that complainant tried to avoid him the accused kept pestering her to remain in contact. After she refused, he resorted to threatening the victim on social media. He posted her pictures saying ‘Rs 3000 per night available for in call and out call’ damaging her reputation. TNN
