Pravat Kumar Roul named VC of OUAT

Bhubaneswar: Pravat Kumar Roul was appointed vice-chancellor of Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT), Bhubaneswar, by Ganeshi Lal, governor and chancellor of state public universities on Friday.
Roul will stay in the office for a period of three years with effect from the date he assumes office as such or until further orders whichever is earlier. The professor is currently working as managing director of the Agricultural Promotion and Investment Corporation of Odisha (APICOL).
He has more than 29 years of teaching experience. He has published 24 books and successfully guided nine PhD scholars. He is not only the alumnus of the university but also worked in this institution as a teacher, researcher and administrator before working with APICOL.
He was dean extension, dean veterinary and director of planning, monitoring and evaluation in OUAT.
