Heavy rain likely in 17 districts for two days

Bhubaneswar: The IMD on Friday issued an orange (be prepared) warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in 17 districts on Saturday and Sunday.
The rainfall will caused under the influence of Thursday’s low pressure area, which is likely to intensify further in the next 36 hours.
Districts which are likely to experience such rainfall (7-20 cm) at isolated places on Saturday are Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Khurda, Nayagarh and Cuttack. On Sunday, the warning would stay for Nuapada, Balangir, Sonepur, Boudh, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and Puri districts. A yellow warning of heavy rainfall would also continue at several districts till Tuesday.
