Before the movie was premiered globally, de Armas, director Andrew Dominik, Julianne Nicholson and Adrien Brody, caused quite a stir on the red carpet. Due to de Armas' casting as the iconic star, the drama is a biography based on the novel penned by Joyce Carol Oates. It is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the festival.

Brody, the co-star, also broke into tears and was overwhelmed. Pitt however looked satisfied.

From Monroe's troubled upbringing to her steady growth to prominence, "Blonde" reinterprets her life. Brody, Bobby Cannavale, Xavier Samuel, Nicholson, and Evan Williams make up the supporting cast. At the Venice Film Festival, the movie made its debut in a competition.
