KOLKATA: The West Bengal Board of Primary Education will initiate the process to recruit teachers after the Durga Puja vacation. The decision was taken by the newly appointed ad-hoc committee at its first meeting on Friday.
Sources said that various issues, including the recruitment of teachers and the procedures for conducting new teachers’ eligibility test (TET) were discussed at the meeting.
Notification for the fresh recruitment is likely to be published after Durga Puja. The advertisements for the fresh TET examinations are likely to be published at the end of this year. The board has decided that in future recruitments, it will strictly follow the legal advisory to avoid litigation.
