Varanasi: A two-member team from the National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, comprising Prof WC Wang, senior advisor for global affairs and Ms Sophie, senior programme manager of
Taiwan Education center (TEC) in India, met the Banaras Hindu University vice-chancellor Prof Sudhir Jain on Friday.
According to the
BHU spokesperson, the delegation met the BHU VC to explore MoU involving bilateral collaborations, student exchange programmes and also to submit a proposal to establish a Taiwan educational centre at BHU.
Prof Wang said tie-up with BHU is an extremely important priority for their university in view of its reputation, diversity and cultural legacy. Prof Jain assured the delegation of all the support from the BHU side. The delegation interacted with the Coordinator (International Collaborations) Prof NV Chalapathi Rao and also with faculty members of BHU including those from the foreign languages department and music.
