Harry and Meghan tread delicate path

LONDON: Prince Harry was the last to arrive at Balmoral Castle on Thursday, as the queen’s closest relatives rushed to be with her in her final hours, and the first to depart on Friday, reflecting the fact that he is no longer part of the family’s inner circle.
The couple has not explained why Meghan, who was also in the UK, did not join Harry in Scotland. How the royals deal with Harry, Meghan and their children will be a key theme of the post-Elizabeth era.
Harry, 37, has had a strained relationship with other members of the royal family, including his father, King Charles III. In a 2021 interview, Harry said that, at one point, his father wasn’t taking his calls and that “there’s a lot to work through there”.
